Fishing Invitation March 17, 2009

Filed under: Handmade Cards — classyscraps @ 6:10 am

I made this invitation for my son’s 7th birthday party. The kids are going to fish in our pond and I wanted a card to fit the theme. I used the Pick a Petal set by Stampin’ Up to make the body of the fish. I used Mellow Moss craft ink and heat embossed it to give it a shine. I punched various hearts to make the fins and lips of the fish and attached a googly eye. I sponged the bottom of the card with Blue Bayou for the water and used the Doodle Alphabet set from Close To My Heart for the words. I made a pole from scraps and a little pen work. My son really liked it!fish-invite
